Necklaces are a beautiful addition to most outfits. But did you know that different necklaces complement different dress styles and necklines? Choosing the right necklace style and length to complement your outfit can really make a difference in your overall look.
I have a few examples to help you make the right choices when wearing a necklace.

Deep-cut neckline
A dress or top with a plunging neckline that exposes the bust and neck should be paired with a long, elegant necklace. A beautiful pendant can also be added to accentuate the plunging look.

Sweetheart Neckline

A sweetheart neckline is very popular, especially with brides and bridesmaids. Because a sweetheart neckline is quite wide, the necklace you choose should balance it; opt for wide, flat links, as well as necklaces with unique, angular designs.

Square neckline
It's simple: a square neckline goes well with a square necklace! It doesn't matter whether you wear a large necklace or a subtle one with a square pendant. The only thing you need to be careful of is that the necklace doesn't sit too close to the neckline.

V-neck

If you're wearing an outfit with a V-neck, your necklace should follow that shape. It shouldn't hang further than mid-chest, as a shorter necklace will draw attention away from your décolletage and keep it focused on your overall outfit and face.

Round Neck
Round necklines are incredibly easy to pair with necklaces, as they look great with a variety of necklaces. Whether you choose a large, chunky necklace or a delicate, elegant one, the only rule for wearing a round neckline is to ensure the necklace fits within the open space of your décolletage.

Strapless
Depending on where you want to draw attention, you can wear a delicate necklace or a more striking one. If you want to draw attention to the bare skin of your chest, a statement necklace looks great. If you want your shoulders and collarbone to take center stage, a delicate, dainty necklace is better.

Asymmetrical neckline

With an asymmetrical neckline, such as one-shoulder tops, a long necklace looks stunning. This makes the asymmetric cut appear longer. A short necklace, on the other hand, makes the upper body appear shorter.

Dumbbell
Many halter necklines have a small V-neck, which doesn't leave much room for a necklace. Therefore, a delicate, dainty V-neck necklace or one with a triangular pendant is ideal.
